I've asked this in various forums before, but never had any luck.

15-20 years ago, I saw a video of an attempted robbery of (I believe) a liquor store. The proprietor/worker is an Asian man.

Several armed robbers enter the store and threaten the victim. He draws and neutralizes the threat in VERY efficient style, almost as if he were shooting the Steel Challenge. He's wounded but survives.

Does anybody know where I can find this video? I believe it was originally shown on one of the "A Current Affair" type shows back in the '80s.

believe this one is the video .. Los Angeles Rolex store .. 5 different gun fights before he decided to retire ... kept a revolver, I believe, 3 or more of them within 3 feet of his workbench .. never reloads, just grabs another gun ..

Interesting guy, but as noted in my post, the person in the video to whom I referred is an Asian man.

I suspect it took place in California. I believe it took place in a liquor store or some kind of convenience store.

Maybe, as the idiot reporter suggested, if he had complied with the robbers and just handed over some watches, they might not have killed him, but how many others might they have killed over the years before their "careers" were over?
I say, like my Mom used to: "good riddance to bad rubbish"

I was a cop for 30 years and had to use my service weapon three times to save myself or others, but I would rather not had those "adventures." Unless I miss my guess I'm pretty sure this store owner would have preferred to not have to shoot anyone either. I'm just glad he came out ahead.

This is uncanny. If it is the robbery attempt you are thinking about, I was just thinking about it 3 days ago.

If the same one then I believe : it was a liquor store in Bakersfield CAL.

The owner (or shop defender anyway) was Middle Eastern(?) and 8 bad guys came in. Defender comes out the back with a paper sack on his hand and begins to fire, shredding the sack to revel what looks like a stainless steel Smith and Wesson auto. a 639 series of some kind.

Of the 8 bad guys. I remember 5 were shot dead.

This guy was definitely Asian, but the video quality wasn't the best.

The store owner/worker was a machine. He looked like he was shooting plates.

And I could be wrong as to his nationality, it was a few years ago and as you remember, he was moving fast. He definitely scattered the gaggle of bad guys.

There was a gun store in Cuyahoga Falls that had it on VHS about fifteen or twenty years ago. They've changed names and locations several times since then, and I haven't been back in years. I don't even know if they're in business still or if any of the same people are still there.

No one welcomes a critical incident. Well, no one who knows the " issues " associated with one but this man only did what our creator endowed us to do. The right to self defense. Train, train and more training. Sad but it never ceases to amave me when this reporters ask if you only submitted to these Savages, maybe they wouldn't have killed you. These types never change.
