Local Ganders now carries Magpul

Stopped in my local, Watertown NY, Gander Mtn today to buy a pair of hiking socks and as I wandered through the hunting/guns/etc. aisles I see an end cap of nothing but Magpul stuff...foregrips, picatinny bits and pieces, stocks, etc...amazing !

The prices were good too on most of the stuff but they wanted $45 for an angled foregrip...that is high.

I guess since they can't sell semi auto rifles and mags plus the ammo shortage has triggered...hehehe...some creative thinking on an otherwise uncreative bunch of people at the corporate level.

I noticed that the last few times I was in my local store too. Typical Gander pricing but it's nice to be able to get hands on before I order them from someplace else. Plus sometimes I just can't wait for shipping and pay the extra. lol

How can you tell the diffence in a Magpul angled grip and a clone or knock off? Anyone suggest a good online seller that has them at a good price? Do you trust ebay or amazon for original stuff and not clones?

That's pretty much the standard price for the AFG2. Real MagPul products are almost never discounted more than a couple of dollars. And yes, I trust Amazon's descriptions. eBay? Not for a minute!

Same deal on sights; if they aren't very close to MagPul's price, they are Chinese clones and junk. Cabela's, Midway, any of the mainstream mail order houses sell the real thing. The cheap junk is mostly on eBay.

If you're going to use eBay, make sure you check the model #s, carefully read the descriptions, scrutinize all the pictures, look at the seller feedback ratings, only deal with sellers in the US, ask questions, etc. Might be a little work for only a few dollars off but if you have no choice, at least do your research.

Yup my local gander also stock magpul but prices are meh. Luckily I have the MOE model... but I did order a AFG1 on amazon. I had to wait but it was a good price, better than gander's retail.
