Loctite on blued steel

I'm mounting a scope rail on a .22 pistol and will only be using 2 screws - one near each end, #6-48. I could add more and probably should but don't want to. If I put loctite not only on the screws but also under the rail it will help prevent shearing the screws, as the rail fits the receiver well.

I have removed loctited screws and found them to be a bit rusty, and that makes me hesitant to use loctite under the rail, as the pistol is blued.

Does loctite cause blued steel to rust? Am I better off with or without it under the rail?

Just use it on the screws. You don't need it under the rail. The 22 won't kick hard enough to break screws.
Locktite won't protect the metal from rust or corrosion.

That is a fantastic idea. It's on now and don't see any issues with 2 screws loctited, but if it loosens up I think I'll try the nail polish idea. I know that will at least prevent rust under there.
