Besides S&W pistols I love long Range Shooting. About 5 years ago I started on a dream goal of hitting a 24” gong at a mile. I had a 300 Norma Mag Rifle built using a McMillan stock,a Kahles 624 scope, a proof carbon barrel, and some hand made Flatline cartridges. Since I generally run solo on these adventures, I don’t have a spotter to work with and this is a big handicap. Today, for my upcoming birthday, my wife bought me a Long Range LR-3 target camera. This will help me immensely and document my achievement. I sighted in my rifle and chronographed my ammo. 215 gr bullet at 3135 fps was chosen. I’m also using a Thunder Beast suppressor to keep things quiet. This rifle sounds like a 22lr with the suppressor.

Camera was found at Shooting Surplus for under 675$ delivered.

I know this isn’t a long range forum but I thought some might find uses for a camera system. The LR-3 will go to 2 miles so it should cover me on future adventures but they have less expensive options for those that don’t need that range capability.
