In a couple of hours im going to the range to test my skills.... because in two weeks i`m going to compete in the Norwegian championship in magnum revolvers, there are two classes 357mag and 44 mag....one of the stages are 180 meters, sitting shooting with both hands.....it will be interesting with my 4" Mountaingun ;)

My 357 is a Ruger GP100 6".
if anyone is interested i will take some pictures from the testshoot

How big are the targets?? And what is considered a good group at that distance? 10-12"????

The target is black paper,, 1,5 meter high and 1 meter wide, center hit for extra points. i will try to post a short videoclip of my buddy shooting his 629 with 8 3/8 barrel.

Very interested! Please be sure to post stills (in addition to video) that are a lot more useful to some of us older characters.

Good luck with your shooting. Sounds like fun! :)

This is just for sight adjustment, 2 white targets side by side at 180 meters

The guy you hear in the background is the spotter, he tell us if we are high or low...he will be missed in the competition :)

Is this connected with the IPSC European Handgun Championship?

No, this is just practice for one of the stages in the Norwegian Magnum championship next weekend, we are shooting both 357 and 44 mag, on this 180 meter stage we have 60 sec to deliver 5 rounds

I'll be in Norway this summer. Any chance of a trip to the range?

Better yet, how can I bring one of my revolvers?

Oslo, Bergen, Kirkenes, Trondheim, Atlantic Highway back to Oslo.
