Several weeks ago I purchased this Ruger Carbon Fiber 10/22. It is very different from anything else I have in a .22 rifle, but I thought it might be neat to put a suppressor on it when plinking along the creeks and old farm dumps I frequent.

The rifle was very well put together and the action is bedded in the Magpul stock perfectly. The only modifications made were a recoil buffer and a Kidd single stage trigger.

I mounted a Sig Sauer Romeo red dot which seemed appropriate for what I have in mind for this little rifle. After sighting in, I tried a several different types of .22 LR ammo through it and was very impressed with its performance. Function was 100% with every brand of ammo I ran through it.

CCI Sub Sonic is usually my go to for inexpensive but accurate shooting ammo in a .22 LR, but this rifle really likes CCI Standard Velocity.

The range was 40 yards and five shot groups. These were not the only groups fired, but the two CCI Standard Velocity ones on the left were representative of how the 3.5 lb rifle performed.

At forty yards and with a two MOA red dot sight sight I felt these groups were pretty good and now am wondering what it might do with a good scope at longer ranges.

Looks like a winner! And on a different subject, I am extremely jealous of your different ammo display cases and their contents!👍
