Longer Barrel on Performance Center 8 Shot 327?

This may be a very silly (and/or very ignorant) question but...
Is there any way to change the barrel on the S & W Performance Center 327, .357 8-shot, to make it closer to 3"?

They were made with 4" barrels. Perhaps the factory has one in stock. If you are converting from a shorter barrel you will need the center pin and ejector rod also.
