I am considering installing a longer firing pin from Cylinder & Slide in my 610. Is this something that should be left to a gunsmith or can i do this in my shop at home?
If you take it to the gun show in Dayton on Saturday afternoon or Sunday morning next week I will put it in for you at no charge.
Replacing the firing pin is very easy - remove the side plate, cock the action, remove the pin holding the FP, remove firing pin & then reassemble in reverse order. A pair of tweezersd or needle nose pliers may be helpful to remove the FP retaining pin and then reinsert it.
I appreciate the offer Bullseye! I will have to find out about the show and see if I can make it. Is it an OGCA show by chance?
