A hitch in my giddy up.

I have experience gunsmithing SxS shotguns but I am new to revolvers. I wanted a J frame 32H&R and read that the 32 S&W long could be reamer to H&R. I did not want to modify one of my existing guns so I obtained a used cylinder and reamed to H&R. swapped cylinders and all is well except when firing double action there’s a little hitch just before the hammer drops. What do I need to address to rectify this?

Double action but not single action, or both? Hand/ratchet fit maybe?

Your hand is having to force its way past last little bit of the tooth of the ratchet. If you dry fire it several hundred times it will probably smooth out
