Longmire fans, I have some Season 5 plot questions

I just hope they either got new writers or took the current ones off of their meds for this last season.

Season 5 will long be a blemish on a pretty good series. IMHO.

It seems that putting.....

Spoiler Alert!....................... Since it seems like five years between seasons, my wife and I forgot, or can't figure a couple things. Maybe you can help us out.
What did the new "Hector" do last season or any time that made Longmire so mad at Lou Diamond Phillips that they got in a fight when he suspected him of being Hector? Does he suspect him of a murder we forgot about or something? "Hector" just deals with injustices on the reservation. What's Longmire's beef with him?
Why does Longmire have seathing blind hatred for "Nighthorse"? Since Gerald McRaney was responsible for his wife's murder, why the vendetta against Nighthorse? Does he consider him responsible too, somehow, or some other reason we forgot about? Thanks. And I like all the screen time that cool Henry rifle is getting this season.

Ok, there are two people in charge of the casino. Nighthorse and Malachi. Whether or not NIghthorse is a completely clean, straight up character, who would you be more likely to start a vendetta with? For being so 'perceptive' Walt seems blind that Malachi and all of his dirty dealings could be guilty of anything at all. Not even when Mathias took off.

My wife said that it MIGHT have some connection with who killed Walt's wife. Henry took care of the guy who pulled the trigger. But Walt still thinks Nighthorse did it, but not Malachi.

I also think that Cady is perceptive enough to see inside some of the Casino's dealings if there is something to see, but she will probably be hit with the obligatory stupid woman syndrome that is required for TV plots and too many movies to work.

I hear that there may be only a half season coming up so they have to tie up some loose ends (or not).

The plot at the end of season 4 was getting really shaky, but it seems to have solidified again. I don't like that Walt is acting very unlike Walt, though he is under a lot of pressure from all sides.

Only partially....

Longmire was in a flat spin all season. I hope he gets out of it soon.

Not having read the books I don't know if this is an accurate portrayal of the character but they need to get his head out soon.

Walt's wife died of cancer. He has a much more intimate relationship with Vic. There is none of this unbreakable suspicion and intrigue involving the casino and the reservation. There was no Branch that I know of.

One really interesting short story involves Walt getting rousted out of bed on a cold day and going to check things out in his bathrobe with his hair and beard scraggly. Seems a lady was parked in a lot and never moved so Walt make sure that she's ok. Turns out that she is being abused at home. Walt goes home with her ant tells the abuser that if he hears one peep he'll be right there and bust his chops. The lady ends up thinking that Walt is Jesus Christ who's come to help her. A strange but lighthearted story.

Wife told me they are currently filming season six. Won't be long now.

Speaking of good shows, "Bosch" starts season 3 on April 21st.
