Figured it might be time for something a bit positive.

You can see what I'm talking about by clicking here. And here.

Note: If your screen gets a bit blurry, there's nothing wrong with your computer.

Thank you. I needed some good news today.

What a great story!...and what a positive, happy little guy. Just think, we could all probably learn something from that smiling little two-year old.

I think we all need to take a few steps back every now and then; just step away from all the pettiness and negativity and look at something different. The human brain can only absorb just so much bad stuff before it begins to change our outlook, our way of viewing the world around us.

Nothing wrong with staying informed on major national and internation news, the events that shape our existence. Nothing wrong with talking about it and discussing it, either.

Just need to give it a rest once in a while.

One of my best friends has a son with Cerebral Palsy. Heck of a kid. Wrestled in high school. Its amazing but it shows what great parents can do. Here's an article about him.

Born with cerebral palsy, Andrew Dubowsky embraced by UNK athletes he inspires

I read the linked article several times. It is inspiring and thought provoking. Thank you for posting it.

We see physically impaired people (I don't like the word "handicapped") being told "You can do anything you want to do" so often that it's almost become a cliché, but in Andrew's case, it's obvious he took the words to heart, and hasn't let his disability stop him.

I highly recommend that every forum member who reads this thread click on the link and read about Andrew. It'll only take you a couple of mouse clicks and a two or three minutes.

Thank you both!! If those stories don't make you drop down on the knees and give a little thanks you're tougher than me. And yes, my screen got a little blurry. There are angels among us. We just read about two of them.

I'd like to add something along a similar upbeat theme. My daughter-in-law's niece Sophia is an absolutely wonderful girl about to enter the sixth grade. Since birth she has bravely fought osteogenesis imperfecta, which is known as "brittle bone disease", living her entire life clamped into hardware, in and out of surgery.

She took her first steps this week, with the aid of a walker, and we are all on cloud nine seeing her achieve this milestone.

This is her being interviewed last year, talking about what all girls her age do. Their crush on a boy. I bet our Sophia can make you smile. :)

We can be curmudgeons later. ;)

I hope this works, I'm attempting to post a link from FB. This young lady is so inspiring to me.

Have a blessed day,

Leon

It worked. Inspiration comes in all shapes and sizes. Thanks for posting.

This post is a real tear jerker for me.
It's great to see the video's of the kid's doing what they can.

But it still makes me tear up thinking of my 21 month old grandson Gunner that was born with brain damage do to the cord wrapped around his neck at birth.

He is a very good baby but is way behind kid's his age.
Only time and prayer's will tell how he will do as he gets older.

He is the love of my life as I take care of him daily .:D

I will keep Gunner in my thoughts.

As my mother used to say when you did something above and beyond for someone, "that just put a star in your crown." I think she was on to something there.

Amazing inspirational story.
I know it's not the same or nearly as adorable but it kinda reminds me of the first time I walked without aid across a small parking lot after my motor neve condition nearly put me in a Wheelchair.
My wife was with me, "Look Lisa, I'm walking." She did have to help me walk back though.

We all need a little help sometimes.
