Look what followed me home today....4006!!

Stopped in a local pawn shop today just to see what they had. First thing that caught my eye was a S&W 4006. It looked to be in great shape. After handling it for a few minutes, I handed it back to the guy behind the counter. Price tag said $399.99. As I walked towards the door to leave, the guy said he would make me a "good deal" on it. I asked him what a "good deal" was. He scratched him chin and said $325. I told him I'd go $300. He scratched his chin again and said OK!!! Then I realized that the 4006 has night sights!! Needless to say...I bought it for $300. It only came with one mag, but I just ordered three more used mags for $12 each. All in all, I think I did real well!!! What do you guys think???

This is a classic example on how to haggle , great buy there . Now only if I can find one around here .

I ordered the mags from www.kyimports.com Good prices from what I can tell. Their web site shows "sold out" for the 45 mags, but you might give them a call and double-check.

Edited to add: You may also want to check with CDNN. They've got a bunch of used mags, but their price was a little higher on the 4006 mags.

You done real good. I'll give you $330. You just made a 10% profit. Nice looking gun. I love the 3rd Gens. Best lookin' guns Smith ever made. Those M&Ps are growing on me though.

Thanks for the offer Matt, but I think this one will probably be a keeper!! Hopefully, I can take it out this weekend and shoot it. Gotta go to the daughter's band show Saturday evening, but maybe I can get some trigger-time in that morning.
