My Benchmade Griptilian and Mini Barrage are great knives, but I have had to replace both of them after the clip snagged on something and they jumped out of my pocket. Since I can’t afford to replace too many $100+ knives, my strategy now is to carry cheaper knives, ones that won't make me cry to lose them.
I usually carry three smallish knives in a pocket; they all require two hands. If I want a one-hand opener, I like the Ontario RAT 2 and the Kabar Dozier, at about 25 and 15 bucks respectively. So far, I have left the clips on both, but both are small enough for pocket carry as well. (The third knife in that second, admittedly lousy, photo is a Kershaw with the Emerson wave opener.)
