Looking at the M&P .40 compact or Fullsize?

First of all, I CC a bodyguard. I am not a fan of big recoil but I want more power. Is the recoil a big difference in the compact vs. a full frame?

Get the Shield 40. Narrower profile than the compact and lighter.

I have both the M&P40 & the M&P40C. I don't notice much if any difference in recoil between them. It's very manageable.

I have a 40c. I also have the FS magazines with XGrips which essentially makes it a FS. I don't recall there being a lot of difference in felt recall between the extended and extended C grip. Both are full in my hand.
If it's a problem, buy a 9mm barrel and some 9mm magazines. Problem solved.
