I have a model 22-4 thunder ranch I can't find much info on. Was all m22-4s thunder ranches or just part of them, and how many thunder ranch were made any info would be appreciated. Mine is TRR099X so I was thinking maybe 1000

The Thunder Ranch M22-4 came out in 2005. I bought one when they came out because I liked the 45ACP caliber and the full moon clip advantage. I recall hearing complaints about the logo as a reason for not buying one. I have not heard of any production figures on the Thunder Ranch model.
In 2007 the Classic Series of 22-4's came out in 2 barrel lengths (4" and 5 1/2") and 3 variations of finishes (blue, nickel and color case hardened).
It would be interesting if somebody could come up with the production figures.

I was just shooting my TR 22-4 this afternoon. I don't shoot it much more than once a year. When I do, I'm always shocked how stout the recoil is. Now the gun is light for caliber, but 200gr slugs over 5.0gr Bullseye feels like a 240gr LSWC over 10gr Unique in 4" 629. The 22-4 is rather light for a 4" N frame. Think 629 Mountain Gun, which is lighter than a 4" 686, then remove even more material to accommodate larger chambers and bore.

I don't know the production numbers but I have seen regular 2007ish 22-4 Classics show up in the wild. Usually about $700. The TR's are the same gun with silly little TR emblems on the super skinny Altamont grips. No worth any premium over the regular 22-4 in my opinion.

Now when will this gun get offered in 45 Colt?
