Is anyone fimiliar with a custon grip maker; I'm not sure of the spelling ...but it sounds like.... "Fuzzy Frantz" he made custom grips back in the 70's... maybe earlier? I've been offered 2 pair of what the seller belives are his work. Any way to ID. Any idea what they may be worth?

Fuzzy Farrant. If you want to find out how collectable they are put them on EBAY.

If you can, post a picture. A lot of our members are Farrant fans!

Good shooting.

Hi BAM-BAM.

At least some of Fuzzy's creations required cutting part of the frame to install them. Not something real S&W lovers want to do. Fine while they are on they look and work great. but if you should want to put the original grips on the cutoff corner on the lower forward butt frame does not make for a pleasing look. Jim

Thanks Guys, It helps to get the name spelled right before doing a search.

I have a option on two pair. One round and one square butt, both look like checkered rosewood, for K frames. I checked the fit on a 19-4 sq butt and 66-3 round butt.... so no frame alterations for these.

It's part of an estate sale, and they are only askeing $25 a pair. I'm going to get them tonight I'l try to post some pictures.

Buy, Buy, Buy.

Heck of a deal!

Good shooting!

Homie,

You seem to have an intrest and knowledged about these. Any idea what are they sell for? I was just going to stick them in my "grip box"..... because they are different, the price seemed right and I might find a use for them,,,,someday.... like on a nice 6" K frame model 14 or 17.... the round butts I'm not sure what I would use for!!!

If there are collectors, or "Farrant fans" who would want them or someone needs them for a project...... let me know...I'm not really offering to sell but I not vested in owning them either.....

BAM-BAM if you don't want them I'm your huckleberry.

Should be in the $100 range if nice and clean.

Post some pics if you can.

Watch out for that sharp checkering!

Good shooting!
