I've tried a few friends holsters for this pistol and am not having any luck with IWB. They all hold the pistol fine, but carrying them at 3:30 to 4:30 rides on my hip bone and is a "hot spot" on my hip, and starts hurting after about an hour.

Do any of you M&P 9 M2 compact owners have an outside the waist band (OWB) holsters you are in love with??

Thanks

I have a 3.6". I'm hoping Vedder will make an OWB holster for this gun soon. Cook's makes one, and I think it would be good. I have one of their Trigger Guard holsters, and one of their Flatback holsters. I have a UGB Regulator on the way (I think), but it's for a 1.0 9c, and the maker says it will work. JMKydex makes one, but it's a long wait.

I have a Foxx holster for my IWB kydex/leather for my PPS and it works great. I just bought All leather for OWB for P229 from Wright Leather Works and it is great. Kydex tends to be less friction in my opinion. I ware it at 3:30 walking/driving, maybe 4hrs a day. no issues

Lewis Hughes, Hughes Holsters, makes holsters for the M&P 9. I have one of his fine holsters and it was reasonably priced. Email him to make sure he can work his magic for you. He sells through Esty. His gun belts are great too. -David

3.6" barrel!

This narrows the field quite a bit. There are a lot more holsters for the 4". I'm waiting for Vedder to get a mold for the 3.6" for their OWB. What I know of now would be some custom leather makers, but otherwise just Cook's or JMKydex (which has a long wait).

I have Galco Concealable and V Hawk holsters for my carry guns. 4" & 4.25" M&P and full size 1911. Do everything I need them to do, comfortable. Just like any other holster, you need a good belt.

For OWB, I use a Simply Rugged Barracuda for my M&P9c. Barrel length is comparable to your 2.0 3.6" compact. Rides well on my hip at around 8 O'clock (I'm a lefty) and has a third slot for crossdraw wear if desired.

Have you tried other locations? 2:00 with a neutral cant works for me. Of course, everyone is different.

Thanks to those that have posted! I have looked at all of the sites you have suggested. I'm not interested in leather holsters, preferring kydex that have adjustable cant and ride height, and an audible "click" when it's holstered.
It seems not many makers have not developed holsters for the 3.6" barrel M&P 9 M2.0 compact, even through it been out quite awhile.
All additional suggestions are welcomed!!

Cook's and JM Kydex are the only ones I know of. I think Priority 1 holsters are plastic, not Kydex, but they do make one for the 3.6". Still waiting for Vedder to make one....
