Picked up a 5.5" redhawk yesterday for a song, it is showing a bit of use, I'm wondering if any one has a pic of a redhawk or gp 100 that has gotten the mothers treatment, there's a lot of "big flats"on these guns and I think they would look great all polished up, here's a before photo

I've seen Rugers that looked almost nickel plated after polishing, and the factory has made occasional runs of a few models.

If one poster above spent just an hour to get that finish with Mother's Mag, it must poilish a LOT faster than I'm getting scratches off of knife blades with Simichrome.

I like my Rugers just fine with the factory stainless polish, but sometimes think I might buy a used one and shine it up to a semi gloss.

I think you'll like that Redhawk, although it's bigger and heavier than a Smith M-629. Should give great comfort if you hike trails where a bear or a big wild pig might be an issue.

Let us know how it shoots.

Wow I forgot how beefy the speed sixs are, that's probably the nicest one I've seen

Here is my wife's .38 Special Police Service-Six after a good going over with Flitz and Mothers. The grips are old Jay Scott zebra wood which I completely re-contoured to actually fit a human hand. They are super comfortable now.

That looks great, I need a set of stocks for mine

I guess I will get out the Mothers and put a little sparkle to my SP101 .22 8 shot I purchased last year.

Thanks guys, I'll be watching the Boston Bruins:) at 3 PM and will be polishing away.

Forgive me for getting a little off subject, but I hope someone, at some point, posts a pic of the new little Bearcat Shopkeeper with a nice polish.
