I'm looking to buy some bulk 380 Acp, brass cased as I reload. I don't have a bunch on hand and with having the 380 ez coming, I'm going to want to shoot it quite a bit without needing to reload to often.

I've found 1000 rounds of perfecta and curious if anyone has any input on this stuff. My only experience with perfecta is in 223 used in my AR. No issues, seemed consistent and the cases worked fine for reloading. This was the cheapest 'name brand' brass case ammo for 380 I could find. Quite a bit cheaper than cci blazer brass iirc.

I don't care if it's a little dirty shooting, I don't mind cleaning. Any thoughts on it or an alternative?

I don't have a 380 but I've used that brand without issue. I've been buying Magtech and Fiocchi lately as the prices have been really good. Sportsman's Guide has Fiocchi 1000 rounds for $233.

I can't speak to the reloading aspect of the brass, as I don't reload, but for target practice, Perfecta is good to go.

Take a look at freedommunitions.com, they have a 1000 rds of their NEW ammo for $243.60 per 1000.

Be sure and look at their shipping costs, it used to be free, but I see they're charging now.

Or you can try Gunbot.net or Ammoseek.com and search for the best price.

SGAMMO is great!! I've shot a lot of Freedom munitions, no complaints.

Check for sales and free shipping promos. Also check local stores, sometimes they will match online prices.

One real bargain in .380 stands out on Wikiarms right now.

Aguila 380 ACP 95GR FMJ 50rd 1E802110

Aguila at 7.99/box. Aguila is good ammo. I don't know anything about Peak Firearms, but that price is too good to last.

EDIT Umm . . . nevermind. They want to screw you on shipping. I put 10 boxes in my cart, and shipping is over $40.

Thanks, I'll check some of these places out. I was looking at ammunition to go, has free shipping over 250.00, a 1000 rounds of perfecta was ~190, I'd make up the difference in 9mm, or maybe grab a little extra 45.

I like free shipping at a set price. I've generally found what Dennis found if it not.

I seem to recall buying from target sports, I think I may have forgotten about them.

After getting on target sports, I realized I'd ordered most my ammo online from there... brain fart I guess, still had my login info.

Got a case of federal AE in 380, and cci 9mm.

A quick internet search indicates Perfecta is made by Fiocchi but distributed by TulAmmo. This seems like a strange relationship. Why would Tula (Russian) need Fiocchi (Italian), or
the other way around? Why would one distribute presumably competiing products made by the other? If anyone knows what the relationship is, or how the two are working together on this -- in other words, why is there Perfecta ammo -- please chime in.

I suspect Perfecta is mainstream and okay, but I don't have any experience with it.

Georgia Arms (http://www.georgia-arms.com/) is a US-based company that loads a wide variety of calibers, including .380 ACP. They sell both re-manufactured (reloaded) and new ammo. I've purchased some of their ammo (.327 Fed Mag and 9mm) at a gunshow and had no problems with it.

As a final comment: I was in Wal-Mart yesterday (March 3, 2018) and 9mm has gone through the floor in prices. Aluminum cased ammo for $8 something a box. .380 ACP ammo has always been a bit expensive, based on its relative rarity, but as the .30 ACP pocket pistols have proliferated in the last couple of years, consumption should be up and production should have risen too -- hopefully, driving prices down during the current "ammo glut."

I had several light primer strikes with Aguila. Going to try some Blazer brass cased in the search for reliable ammo...

The Blazer brass 95 grain was great with no light strikes [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

I'd like to know what it is about this forum that makes it so quirky. On my phone typing and keyboard randomly goes down causing me to hit a link, which requires retyping should I choose to do so..

Anyway target sports seems to have slowed up in their shipping. Ordered on the 4th, same day they send info to FedEx, yet FedEx still doesn't have it. They say they are moving their warehouse. Glad I've got a little on hand, was looking forward to getting it for the weekend but appears that isn't going to happen.

As I typed this, my keyboard disappeared 3 times. Doesn't happen anywhere but here... I know on PC, only on this forum, the more text there is, the slower the rate of transfer from keyboard to screen.
