Do the M&P Shield and the M&P bodyguard have the same front and rear sight groove dimensions?

I can't seem to find any information on this and the local gun stores are sole out of M&P Shields so I can't measure one.

Or does anyone know if the Bodyguard grooves match any other Smith & Wesson gun?

Actually I think the paint on front sight makes more sense than new sights. I haven't even painted mine and find the sights very good. everyone has his own idea though. good luck with this great little pistol.

Painted my front sight with white appliance touch up paint and that helped. Glow in the dark paint might work too.

I thought about a set of Big Dot sights on my BG but that would make it too big for the pocket holster. I also used white appliance touch-up on the front and it worked fine.

I've been looking at the Williams Fire Sights for mine. Anyone have any experience with these in general (not necessarily on the BG)?

I used bright fingernail polish....orange on rear, green on front. lots of thin coats. Has held up surprisingly well!! After carrying and three trips to the range.

Here's the results on a Shield. Used Blaze Orange Jig Head paint on front sight.

I agree!
A dab of white acrylic paint on the top of the front sight works nicely for me! Very easy to pick-up and get sights on target. As far as precision sight go; This is not a target pistol. It was made for SD!

You might try opening the rear sights with a little judicious file work. More light around the front sight does wonders.

I find dots slow me down. You might try blacking them out with a sharpie and see what you think.

I have 2 daughters. I asked one of them to get me the brightest fingernail polish she had... ended up being lime green... put a couple dabs of that on the front sight ramp a couple years ago and still looking good... really helped a lot.
