It WAS-only they played it in the Georgia dome a month earlier. This "National Championship" thing is just an exhibition game-another bowl game.

Kinda like last year.

Yes but there is precedence for the same two teams playing again for the National Championship. Why it seems like only last year two teams that had already met played in the big game. And if I remember correctly, FSU beat Florida during the regular season and met again for the N.C. in the Sugar Bowl.

My point was Georgia had just played Bama, and lost. If they had won, they would have been in the championship game..don't get me wrong, I'm a huge SEC fan (except for Florida). I'm just saying Georgia had their chance, it's not best 2 of 3.
