The screw holding the right side decocker lever on my Smith 645 works loose quickly when shooting; i have put some blue Loctite on the threads but wondered if simply replacing the screw would tighten up things sufficiently. I can buy the screw (if i have the right one) for $3 and it would be an inexpensive fix if it works.

From what I've read, most owners that have his happen to their 645 just remove the screw and the lever and store in a safe place. However on my 645, I used blue locktite and check it every so often after shooting to make sure it hasn't worked it's way loose.
