Loving my Shield

That could be. I was listing to Gun Talk and they had a rep on fro. XD. He said they did not have a fix in place before the recall, they are still working on it but not sure how long turn around will be.

They found a fix but people got tired of waiting and the run-around so they bought a new gun. A couple of the holster markers told me the Shield was that main order last month as everyone was going out and buying them.

New poster and Shield owner here. Took my new 9mm Shield to the range for the first time tonight. Shot about 200 rounds of WWB 115gr FMJ, Federal 115gr FMJ, WWB 147 JHP, and Speer Gold Dot 124 +P JHP ammo with only one issue, a stove pipe. The Shield shoots well and is so easy to conceal. It's a great compromise between my LCP and my Glock 17. It's nice to find a product that actually exceeds expectations.

Glad that you are happy with a stovepipe....:)

I've been a big 1911 fan for years, but needed something a little smaller and easier to conceal. I still love the 1911 trigger, and overall feel and balance, but they just don't carry as nice as the Shield. The stock trigger, was MUCH heavier than I liked, so I added an Apex sear, and USB, and it was a huge improvement over stock. I also added a nice set of Ameriglo SW-251 night sights, and it is almost like a new gun again. I just picked up a real nice Desantis Cozy Partner IWB holster, and it almost disappears under something as light as a t-shirt, and many times I've forgotten it was there. It really is the ideal carry gun.

Had mine for abt a month now. Best shootin pistol i own. Carry it every day as. I love it. Actually thinking abt buying the 40 to go with my 9.

I bought a 40 shield yesterday and my wife decided she wanted one too after fondling it. Went out today and got her a 9 shield.:) Haven't had a chance to shoot them yet though.:( I'm pretty sure we won't be disappointed.

I finally found the 9mm shield in Cabela's Glendale,Az. I got to the store at 9AM and the sales clerk said they had just gotten in six in and that they would all be sold by noontime. I traded in my LC9 for the shield. There is no comparison between the two. I installed the APEX kit and made a really good gun a great gun.

The Shield is the gun I've been wanting and waiting for since 1995.
