Was a good week for the Shield With a few upgrades.

I was a bit skeptical of Talon grips because of it being a stick on grip. I mist say I'm a believer now. Man are these nice. Almost can't tell its a grip tape at all. Installation was easy and everything lined up to a t. Very nice product.

Also the Pearce pinky extension for the 7 rounder is really nice! Allows full grip now. Awaiting my Talon grip for it too

Looks sticky! I had grip tape when I had a Glock 30 years back and didn't like it...wonder if it's come a long way since then...

I have Foxx grips on mine. Very similar to the talons but not quite as "rough" feeling, at least to me. Admittedly, I bought them at the same time I bought my Foxx Trapp holster, so it was convenient.

I have NDZ baseplate for my 7-round mags that have a nice pinky extension. Top notch, and slightly lower profile than the Pearce ones. Yet another good option for Shield folks.

I have the Talon rubberizes grip tape on my Shield and am also very pleased with it. I chose the rubberized over the sandpaper / granulated so that I would have a soft yet "grippy" feel for my EDC gun. The rubberized grip does not catch at all on clothing when worn in a IWB holster. Again, I am very pleased with the rubberized Talon grips.

I went with a Pachmayer slip on grip & I like it. Recently I added the Pierce magazine extension, & last week I got a chance to shoot my Shield. I've got to say I really like the Pierce extension. It gives me a much better grip & more control. One of the cheapest improvements I've ever made to a pistol!

I'm very pleased with mine as well. First time I've used "tape" grips, I also always considered them somewhat "gimicky", but they damn sure work well.

Did you cut out the Talon mag baseplate grip for the Pearce extension or do they make them specific for Pearce now?

I put the same talon grips on my shield a couple of weeks ago. I took my time, cleaned everything with alcohol and the fit is perfect. Very nice upgrade.
But yesterday I did notice the tape had moved on the extension for the extra 8 round mag I was pocket carrying. Tempature was in the 80's. I was able to slide it back in place with some thumb pressure.
Something I'll keep an eye on.....

Well this thread just made me try a Pearce grip. Hope it's a good as everyone says.

Is it just a single piece of grip tape on the extension mag? If so wouldn't that mean u can't break down the mag to clean? I don't have mine on me to check, thanks!

Lol! I never knew there was an extension grip for the 7 round mag until this thread too. Ordered one this morning and just got the 'it's in the mail' email notice!

Yep unfortunately, you could trim it into two pieces though.

And also y'all will love the Pearce grip extension

How hard is it to put on the Talon grips? I mean, if you start and realize 2 minutes after you started, can you peel it back off and adjust it?

It was easy as pie. Couldn't tell ya lol, mine was right the first time lol
