Low profile 2.0 safety?

I have an M&P 2.0 Compact which I love...with the exception of the size of the thumb safety. Are there any options to swap it out for something with a lower profile?

I agree and wish S&W would adopt the Shield safety across the entire M&P line.

Thanks paarms for asking this question. I also have a 2.0 compact with the safety, and I think it is also to large. I would prefer a safety like the Shields, but maybe a tad larger. Or something flatter than whats on there.
Hopefully someone will respond with some positive, informative info!

I don't know if a smaller safety already made, but you could either trim the ones on the gun, or buy another and trim the levers down then swap them.

Apex doesn't have one.

Why not just remove it?

Not an answer to your question but the thimb safety is one of the things I like best about my M&P. I am a 1911 shooter and like the similarity but I would prefer no hinged trigger with the safety.
