I'm looking to put a rifle length rail on my OR in the near future and am to the understanding I'll need to remove my current gas block and replace it with a low profile block. Will the below linked from Yankee Hill work? They seem to have another design that is a pinch screw setup. Not quite sure what the difference between the two is. Ease of install maybe?

I used that gas block on my ArmaLite when I installed a longer quadrail and am happy with it. It should work with any carbine-length AR that has a barrel diameter of 0.750". You are probably right regarding the other type they offer, the difference is in the installation.

I have used that gas block on both of my Carbines...works like is was designed for it. also clears the thinnest of handguards.

Make sure the new gas block is long enough to cover any pin holes or where the barrel isn't finished. Troy makes a long block if you need it.

Wilson Combat just installed this YHM gas block, along with a YHM handguard and other parts on my Wilson carbine without problems or issues. Should be just fine...

I'm doing the same right now and my rail is in transit from Midway. I didn't get that exact YHM block but here's the install. The OR railed gas block only has 1 pin so you don't need to worry about getting an extended low profile block. This is what it looks like installed. Good luck!
