Lowest recoil defense ammo for .40 Shield

Can anyone suggest a good defense ammo for the Shield in .40 S&W. I'm looking for a good round with the least amount of recoil. Thanks in advance.

I have not tried these, but at least one local shooter finds them reliable in a SWaMPy 40c.
