LSU beats Florida!!!

BTW, what's the distance record for throwing a shoe?

I am 58, going on 59, and have fanatically watched football most of my life and probably started understating what was going on at 7 or 8. And I have never seen anything like that in basically a half a century. Probably cost FL a trip to the playoffs for the National Championship.

I can only imagine how many daiquiris were poured in Baton Rouge after that ! I remember the drive-thru hurricane, then later daiquiri joints there...as long as you kept the lid on, it wasn’t an ‘open container’

Whatever happened with the straw was nobody’s business.

Louisiana is another country, at least legally. Ask Caj.

I recently realized that after decades of favorable scheduling, ducking the other schools in the state and Spurrier sideline antics I could actually root for the Gators, but only if they were on the road. UF is a much cooler place that the lib arts factory in Tallahassee yet the fans are best represented still by the must watch 2002 movie Big Trouble.
I'll wish UF all the best in the conference game with Alabama. Can they win? Of course. Will they? Hell no.

Everyone is bashing this kid for doing something stupid that cost their team a win like it has never happened before. Who can forget last year when the Miss State player got on all fours and mimicked a male dog peeing which drew a foul that allowed Ol Miss to pull out a win in the egg bowl. Kids have always done stupid stuff. Remember when WE WERE KIDS and dis stupid stuff.?
I'm still so pissed off at the way LSU's season has gone. the win was but a momentary chuckle for me. This state cannot handle being a winner for some reason

Gary—I don’t know if you saw it, but Gameday did a segment/feature with that Miss State player a few weeks ago. He really is a good young man that got caught up in the heat of the moment.

I also saw this season a Northwestern player snatch the hand towels out of the back of the pants of several Wisconsin players—I guess for souvenirs. I believe they had Wisconsin logos.

But the shoe throwing deal beat all I have ever seen!

I'm happy I can root for the Gator's after decades of against though only when they play on the road, too many instances of their fans matching the stereotype presented in the 2002 must see film Big Trouble.

Wish all college games were this exciting. Was rooting for LSU even though one of my best friends is a big time Gator!! Last time we visited their condo in Crescent Beach, Florida he insisted we all ride over to Gainesville and see the "Swamp". He grew up in Gainesville in the 1950's-early 60's. Dad was a professor there and he graduated there.

My nephew just graduated from Alabama so his attendance pulled us into the Crimson Tide world. Since Va. Tech has had lackluster seasons since Coach Beamer retired I have been a fan of SEC football.

Roll Tide!

Through no fault of their own the LSU team pretty much imploded this year. They lost so many guys from the championship team that there was no way they could pull off two championships in a row. LSU folks are mostly impatient and I hope they don't run Coach O off before he has a chance to build another good team. Locally Southern Miss had a horrible team this year. Having three head coaches in one season didn't help any.

I think Lou Piniella set the record for base tossing in 1990. (Where does the time go?)

He still works a a special advisor to baseball operations for the Reds.

After sweeping the A's in 4 in '92 he can do no wrong in this town.

Sorry for the drift.

Now, back to football. Luke Fickell's name is being bandied about as a Power Five HC. We would hate to see him go but feel it is just a matter of time.
