A little CLP is all that is necessary, but don't run the 15/22 wet like an AR. Grease is not a good idea, as it collects dirt and powder residue. I use a dry lube, Eezox which works awesome. Great protection and will not collect fouling. I am always amazed at how clean my 15/22 is after pounding a couple bricks through it. And wear wise, it's still good as new.
