The last 2 guns I bought came with a sample of Lucas gun oil or CPL, Lucas offers a bore cleaner. All the products are call Extreme Duty. Has anyone here have any experience with these products? I ordered some from Amazon to give them a try.

I use Lucas bore cleaner on my SIGs because SIG recommends its use for them. Lucas and SIG have some sort of joint sponsorship agreement. Before Lucas got involved with SIG, SIG had stated in its owner's manuals that bores should be cleaned with gun oil. Have you ever cleaned a bore using only gun oil? It's hideously messy, and takes forever, so I was glad when SIG finally approved a real bore cleaner. Lucas bore cleaner is pretty good. It is a vast improvement over gun oil, but it is not quite as efficient at bore cleaning as the good old Hoppes #9 that I use on my S&Ws and FNX. And if you're one of those unfortunate gun owners whose spouse gripes at you when you open the Hoppes, you'll have no problems with Lucas. Somehow, they've given it a very pleasant aroma.

I use Lucas gun oil and have used its grease. Since I bought a whole gallon of Breakthrough solvent about a year ago, I am still using and happy with it. After breakthrough you got to oil the gun. It leaves the gun clean as a whistle but totally stripped of any protective coating.
