Lucky 22LR find

After I ordered from CCI's website and paid .08 cpr for standard velocity and .20 cpr for Velocitor, I looked at the going prices at ammoseek.com. The cheapest I found standard vel was .18 cpr and Velocitor at .40 cpr.
Shipping was free ($100 minimum order) and unfortunately Florida just started requiring sales tax on internet sales.
All brick and mortar stores near me, except Academy, charge double what I paid at CCI.
Your doing fine at that price today. What the Boomers don't get is MSRP has gone up across the board on every brand, every type of ammo, all manufacturers. The manufacturer's caught up with the market.
Ammo will never be the same as it once was.
22LR box of 50 std price is $3.69-$3.99 and then adjusted upwards. Unfortunately or fortunately for me $0.99-$1.99 is long gone.

I haven't seen .06 cpr 22LR since last June when I got a brick of Aguila High Velocity 40gr for $28. Got lucky at Academy last week when they were putting out CCI Mini-mags CPHP 100 round boxes at $12. They were also putting out some Federal AE 9MM 124gr FMJ 50 round boxes at $18.49.

The other day I was in Walmart looking at the ammo, again not much. I started a conversation with a young man, he said that he just bought a MP-556, but he had not been able to fire it, because he only had 1 box of ammo for it. So I kind (smugly) said that why you always prepare for times like this and stock pile a bit in the good times. He very politely said some of us just turn old enough to buy during this crisis. Well boy he brought my smugness down. Ok we talk for a bit longer. I told him I would sell him 6 boxes for $60. We meet a few days later and he was one happy.
