Lucky find 21-4

As most that know me will attest I have a big weakness for S&W revolvers and in particular the N frames. Add into that mix a real fondness for the 44 Special and you can imagine what a shock I got when I popped onto one of the auction sites and found a 21-4 with a low starting price , ZERO bids and only 6 hours remaining in the auction. Not only that this was one of the Thunder Ranch re-intros. No great big gold bling on the sideplate but all the other great features.
After my pulse returned to somewhere near normal I entered a reasonable bid and walked away. When I logged back in there were only 6 minutes remaining and I still had the top bid. I watched as the time ticked away until the auction was over and the 21-4 was mine (sorta).
Contacted the seller and my FFL to get the ball rolling and hopefully by this weekend the new revolver will be in it's new home. And wearing a different set of grips.

You're going to love it, just what a 44spl should be. I've got TR version
because at the time I couldn't find one without the bling thing,but yours is better looking.

Mine is the TR version too. I ignore the gold tramp stamp and enjoy a fantastic shooting revolver.
Put some nice Ahrend's retro combats or tactical revolver grips on your new 21-4 and you will own one beautiful N frame.

Nice score. I have the 21-4 and 22-4. Both on my keeper list.

NICE I am on my 3rd one. I sold or traded two away but still have one. As soon as I sold one I hunted for another. I also sold three of the 22-4s. These are very nice N frames and I hated to see them discontinued. I have to quit this buy/trade/sell routine. I'm sure you will love it.

Nice find! Yeah the grips on mine didn't last long, those things hurt with stiff loads. You are going to like that one!
