It's a beautiful, brisk Fall day here. The cold front is blowing in. It's the perfect time for a good home made bowl o' red. Served in fine Bavarian china, for a touch of civility. Of course, protection by S&W, Model 13-3 with Ahrends boot grip.

My wife is away visiting, so I made myself a great big batch of red w/beans the other night. She don't know what she's missing. :)

Looks great, perfect with the cornbread & chilies. Nice protection too.

The Arctic Vortex is just now starting to hit us down here on the coast. Just one more example of climate disruption caused by extreme advanced global warming. A good bowl of 3 alarm red helps keep the inner man warm, and ready to tackle any problem. Texas' gift to the world.

That looks just about right! With this cold front that blew in here today that would taste real good.

Mmmmmmmm,cornbreeeeaaaaddddd.

I just found out that Bush's baked beans also has refred beans too. I tried some last night well after the cold blast started--had scrambled eggs and two Grands Buttermilk Biscuits with it. Mixed a few tablespoon fulls with the refried beans and eggs. Man-o-man-that was goooooooood.Homemade chili is next on the menu.

Praise the Lord and Pass the Cornbread!!!!!!

Wayne, if you break out that kind of protection for chili, what do you pull out when you're ready to grill a steak??

That looks great. The cold weather has arrived in Tn . My wife has a batch of chili in crock pot and I will make cornbread when I get home tonight. And to top it off I made a deal for A 325 ng that I will pick up in next couple of days.

On a rational level, I'm having a hard time figuring out these protected offerings. However, food and guns are my second and third favorite things, so I guess I shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth (old Trojan saying).

I have a few that are quite suitable for a fine piece of beef on the grill. Although, on this forum, I would be sadly lacking for an appropriate piece for a barbeque.

Well if that didn't fire up your "furnace", then I don't know what will! :D

I don't know what's loaded up in the revolver, but I'm bettin' there's one hot round in that bowl! :)

I made a nice big pot of black bean venison chili since my son came into town to visit for a couple of days. Found a can of Mexican corn with green chilies in the pantry so we added that to the corn bread mix.
Mmmm mmm that was some good eats.
