M 29 serial# from 1961

Saw this on internet,not sure if legit but interesting. FWIW

Looks like a valid serial number list that was transmitted with the shipping invoice. Shows some lower serial numbered 44 Magnums shipped much later than would be expected. But, this was a common practice with S&W.
