I found a 4" M66 no dash (pinned & recessed) with target stocks, for $450. I could probably get it for $400. Even @ $450, is that an ok price wise? Condition is real nice, tight, with good timng. No box. Are target stocks corect ? Serial # is 9Kxxx

Thanks guys.

Goncalo Alves targets would be correct for a 4" 66.

Depending on where you're located, $400-450 is pretty fair to both you and the seller. You won't find many real nice no dash 66's for too much less.

A good price IMO. What will you pay for a new one, not P&R, and with a wonderful lock? Twice that much. Plus, the new ones aren't 66's.

I was issued one new in 1977 by my department, the same 4". Shot hot department issued 125 grain Remington's (1425 fps out of the 4"-required carry and qualification) and it held up nicely. I was able to buy mine back when the department retired all the revolvers for Glocks in the 90's. Still have it, love it......it is my close quarters home defense gun, now with magnas instead of the original target Goncolos (fits my wife's hands better). Department sold it to me for $125. Hard to believe, but most of the troops didn't buy theirs back! Probably kicking themselves now.

I bought a 66 no dash with 4 inch barrel for $550 so I'd say that you are getting a great deal.

I picked up a 66 no dash about a year ago with Hogue rubber grips and some scratches in the finish. A little TLC and hand polishing and it looks real nice. Cost me $275. Jim.
