I've got four M&P 1.0s - two .40s and two .45s. One of each was bought new and one of each was an LE trade-in. The .45 that I bought new developed a dead trigger and was sent to S&W for repair; it was fine for a while but the dead trigger came back. On the LE trade-in .40, the spring that wraps around the takedown lever shaft broke and I decided to fix it myself. Replacing the spring was no problem, but I messed up the sear housing assembly - it was a model with the magazine disconnect, the pin that holds the disconnect spring backed out while I was messing with it and the spring disappeared, so I ordered a new sear housing assembly and charged it to my "education account" :o - and then the trigger would often hit the overtravel stop before it could release the sear. Apex Tactical has a video on how to adjust the "candy cane" at the end of the trigger bar and I've done that on the .40, the pistol is in my range bag with seven full magazines to test it at the range this morning.

The .45 is an early production one. I'm guessing that the factory fix was just adjusting the candy cane and the problem reoccurred. Was there a running part change that was incorporated later, since this was a known issue with the early .45s? I can adjust it so it works, but I'd rather replace it if there's an improved replacement part.
