M&P 10 charging handle oversize latch upgrade

Well Many of you who have the M&P10 have a scope on it and are having a hard time with the charging handle latch. We'll first I thought I would have to spend 50-60 dollars on a full charging handle with the extension. Wrong for about 15.00 I bought a Brownell oversized charging handle latch. It works like a champ. A few things you will need though. First 1/16 punch and a new punch pin. Go to harbor freight and get a box of 350 pins all sizes for 8.00 and 8 punches different sizes for 8.00. You will need the punch and pins again if you keep upgrading. Overall great upgrade using your existing charging handle.

From time to time, you can find the cheap oversized latches from GRG for $5 shipped on EBAY. I haven't had any problems with these latches ..... yet.

So far shoot around 100 rounds and had no problems. Sweet upgrade for 15.00 bucks

Just installed the oversize latch. Huge difference for low cost, and it is nice to keep the stock charging handle. Would post comparison pics but can't find an easy way to post pics.

Ordering the charging handle and a roll pin. What's the length of the roll pin? At work and don't need one of every size.

Stock M&P 10 charging handle thickness at the roll pin is approx. 0.30", going to order 1/4" roll pins.
