M&P 10098 timeline and RAM

I've built several 10098, which is the 9L PC 5" ported CORE M&P (that was a mouthful if said in words), and in the recent months, I know they have discontinued my favorite pistol. Any idea of they are replacing it?

In any case, I've been looking for another brand new 10098 for a minute and finally found one and its on its way to me. This will be my final keeper, so I want everything possible on it.

I've been trying to trace the timeline of this gun and the changes S&W as made/improved upon in the past years. I've purchased some with and without the RAM, the change of the block, then trigger bar. All of that. I'm hoping the one I'm getting will be the latest production 10098 (saying this because I've actually ordered one from my wholesaler before, and it wasn't the latest model). Can someone "school" me on what the latest iteration of the 10098 will have? Whether it will have the RAM in it or not. I've been out of the scene for the past 2 years so I haven't really recalled what happened when.

The "RAM" you're talking about was never a factory part. It was made and sold by Apex Tactical. If I'm not mistaken, it's still available.

The Reset Assist Mechanism (RAM) is still available from APEX.

As far as I know all of the full size PC Series pistols used the sear housing block that supports the RAM. These were designed for the internal lock (like on the revolvers), all that remains is the plug in the frame now.

I don't think there's any rosetta stone regarding what "updates" belong to specific date codes or SKUs. The 1.0 are like a box of chocolates.

It finally came in and it's one of the last of the production, May 12, 2017. There's something different about this gun vs my other ones, I feel. Maybe it's just cuz all of my other ones were fixed up and this one is still bare bone. But then, the slide looks a little bronze-ish. Did they change the coating? Maybe it's just me.
