...This gun fits in an old Aker holster for my Glock 20, and quite nicely I might add. (Aker 171-A / G20)....
Possibly leather holsters… but not kydex I have a lot of pistols and at least one iwb and one owb kydex for each….I tried the m&p10 in every variant of Glock sig hk Springfield and cz holster I have none fit to where I would feel confident leaving the house….in the kydex Glock 20/21 it was way too loose and wobbled around the Glock 20/21 is substantially wider at the top of the slide and frame…but surprise surprise it fit perfectly in m&p9mm holsters of the correct barrel length or in the case of short open end the 10mm muzzle stuck out past ..4.6” 10mm stuck out .6” they slide in smoothly and clicked in and drew just as the 9mm does…obviously however the 10mm mags will not fit in a 9mm holder…they will fit perfectly into a s&w .45 mag holder thoughHmmm...does this suggest that the M&P Compact 10mm fits in ALL holster-makers' Glock 20-designed holsters? If true, that dramatically expands the list of holsters (and holster makers) that are candidates for my M&P Compact 10mm 4".
This is important knowledge (to me, at least) since the M&P Compact 10mm is still a relatively recently-launched gun - with the consequence that many holster makers aren't yet "advertising" holsters to fit the M&P Compact 10mm.
Which brings up another question. Will a 4" 10mm (M&P Compact) fit into a holster made for a 4" M&P .45 ACP Compact?
The Lizzard
I find the concept of a 4" 10mm being called a compact as chuckle-worthy. 3rd gen FULL sized pistols are 4". Glock model 20 10mm 4" is full sized as well.
3.25-3.5 is compact.
Actually the glock 20 has a 4.61” barrel….the Glock 29 is branded by Glock as subcompact and has a 3.78” barrel
not 10mm but the Glock 19/23/32 etc are branded by Glock as compact and have a 4.02” barrel
Yeah but...., a 4" revolver is a whole cylinder longer than a 4" semi.I stand by 4" isn't "compact" For how many decades was a 4" revolver a standard duty sidearm? And the concealed was a 3" or snub-nosed.
