M&P 15-22 fails with parts coming out

But that did not help me at all, so I said just give it to me only to find out I could ship it but not have come back to me.
Was the store trying to tell you that an FFL must be involved in this warranty process?
Unless there are some state restrictions on shipping firearms that apply to you, of course you can have it come back to you. I've had to send my 15-22 back to S&W three times, and all three times they emailed me a shipping label and I dropped it off at the FedEx store, and they shipped it back to me.

am i understanding you correctly that the range forgot to ship it? if that is the case, why did you not get a fed ex label from S&W and ship it fed ex?

that is what i would have done..well, that is what i did...

the mag is a bonus...

did you call s&w first to see why they were taking so long, then find out the range did not ship it?
As I said the gun broke there, I asked how do you go about shipping a gun, they said call S&W get the label & we will ship it for you, I said great thanks. S&W said it would be 2 weeks I marked the date hoping it would be that long, it was 2weeks when I called the range had no reason to think this is what I would hear. Now looking back I should have done a couple of things but if they were going to handle it I was going to let them. I will be tracking it this time.

That is what they said, I am in Georgia. Where are you & why did you need to send yours back 3 times.
& if you don't mind how old is it ? As soon as I started having problems with this one I started looking & seems most get them back & they run fine.

Man this has been like pulling teeth. But alls well that ends OK I guess.
The gun shop I have been having problems with told me they would give me a new 15-22 in place of the one it seems they can now not find.
Problem is they only had one's without flash suppressor or the camo w/ 10 rd. mag.
I got the camo, a bird in the hand thing, not really what I wanted, but.
? how does this polymer take to painting ?

& let me add this one ran smooth as butter :) now.

My strange 15-22 saga continues.

Had the failure like no other I have heard of. No prob. send it back after all it is a S&W.
Place where I bought it says not to worry they will handle it for me, then they say they put the rifle in the back & forgot to ship it for 2 weeks. They gave me some free stuff & said they would make sure it went out next morning & text me tracking info, the tracking number I got from them would not work. After a text from me asking that the heck was going on the manger called to say they would give me a new gun & they would worry about that one. OK I say I am on my way to get it. I take a box of ammo & head out.
Realtree camo was not my first pick, it was there when I got mine, but I did not want one without flash suppressor. So I got the camo ran 300 rounds I have to say it did grow on me & it ran smooth. I went home feeling a lot better.
Second time I went to shoot it I had the empty cartage eject down into the lower receiver & block the hammer. I guess that is very odd but at this point I am saying OK what next, well.

Well it turns out you were right CrazyFingers Because I got a call today from Fedex saying my rifle will be delivered to my home tomorrow. The long lost first 15-22 is finding its way home.
,
So what y'all think I should do ?

i would contact the dealer that gave you the 2nd rifle and return it to them. i'm sure they would like to sell it at a lower used price instead of taking a complete loss on it...if i had the available scratch, i'd be happy to pick it up for near new price(my wife recently shot mine and asked when i am buying her one!)

That camo one is harder to find, and might get more resale value if you work something out where you get to keep it.

To be fair, I'd offer to pay the shop what the shop paid for the real-tree since they seem to be treating you really well.

I'd have to run out to the money tree tho and do some pickin.

Wish my gun shop had their attitude.

What goes around, comes around........

Yes they are good guys , don't know who dropped the ball , or in this case my gun in the back & forgot about it. But they are trying to make it right.
& & it's not like I could just keep both , could I , I mean could I

You ever heard of the Golden Rule? I think you are joking, but still...

It is not a matter of what you could do but what you should do.

Thanks Jim, just that little devil sitting on my shoulder whispering in my ear again.
Now he is nagging me to just misplace it for a week or 2.

But seriously my real question was which one should I keep ? #1 fresh from S&W or the camo that had just the one odd ejection down in the lower receiver ?

IMO, the decision is not yours. Ask the retailer that gave you the camo how he wishes to handle it. Then if he leaves it up to you, pick which ever one you like best. It's just a gun... not a girlfriend. :)

But it is. I paid the little difference between the two. I'm sure they will be glad to get either one back. They are the ones that said S&W would not send it back to me.

Decisions Decisions
But don't they look good together ? Guess I am going to keep the realtree, I wonder if they will notice if I switch mags.
What does a very slightly used 15-22 go for ?

I love the real tree version. I wish I could have found one when I bought my 15-22.
