M&P 15-22 Forearm End Cap

I lost the forearm end cap for my M&P 15-22; it's the plastic disk that goes at the end of the quadrail. I've looked around for a replacement, but haven't had any luck. I called S&W and they said that due to ongoing software issues, they are seriously delayed in sending out parts.

Does anyone know of a source other than S&W where this part could be purchased?

Unless someone here has one they will send you, S&W is your only source.

FWIW, the rifle will function just fine without it.

Yea, seriously... what's it good for? Not much.

I took mine off and have never put it back on.

it's now totally free floated, leave it off, less chance of it touching the barrel.

If you need one, you can have mine.
I took it off as I never saw a need for it.
And like roadkill said, it's a real free float now.
