hello everyone!
I haven't disappeared, I have been swamped with other business, and have neglected checking up on the project on a regular basis,Im building a new warehouse, and trying to get 20 contractors on the same page as the bank seems to be difficult these days!"Its hard to soar like and eagle, when you work with turkeys!"

Any how, the project is still coming along, still delays in molding with the cap part, but is very close, so I'm told !,, so everyone hang in there..
I see Ben has made some improvements on his,, I even private messaged him with a company the might be able to help keep his cost down,, but at this point it almost looks like a sabotage attempt on my part ,with all that im going thru. lol.. I know all you testers are dieing to get one to try and i still need you guys to test them before i run a 1000 of them. so please bare with me!

Know the feeling; I was the site supervisor when we did a million dollar remodeling on a new office building for us in Baltimore a few years ago.

I'll bare with you only if you're female!!! Bearing with you is another matter. :D

I like the idea of having additional tubes with end caps, that could be pre-filled. Perhaps that could be an option.

I'm not so sure about a 25 round capacity just because of the length but it sure would be nice for the range.

Might direct your attention to the loader available from Henry Repeating Arms for their lever-guns. It is a plastic tube holding several smaller tubes that each hold 16 rounds so it is possible to carry a quickly re-loadable supply. As for length, something like the system used for arrow quivers might be the answer. With a Skunkwerx rig for my 15-22 and one of the Henry rigs for my Golden Boy I just might be able to throw some serious itty-bitty lead!

update :
just received the latest proto types, they finally got the draft to fit perfect and are working on molding costs estimates,, I feel they will be very comparable with other quote's i received and will go to to production from here!!! "hurry up and wait"

I knew I'd seen your name before in the 5th scale R/C world.

Double checked this morning and they spell it different.

Baja Skunkworks is what they are called. Small world ay.

correct my official company name is "skunkwirkz llc"
and "skunk works" is the original lockheed martin firm used to build black projects for the gov like the sr71 the u2,black hawks and the stealth, and many more, the definition of skunk works is a black or back hidden part of a company working outside the normal part of a company,, ie this project "the loader"is not part of my normal buisness activity. altho being privately funded by me but still utilizing some parts of my parent companies resources :rolleyes:

Hello everyone.
sorry for the long delay in updates, but i have been busy with other stuff.
Here is the update on the loader project. #1 i fired the company that was doing the mold for the loader! its was taking to long and they still haven't began the box tray part mold yet, and it took them days to return my calls..I am disappointed! So I hired a company from Michigan this week to do the molds and injection,, the time frame for them is 3-4 weeks for tooling with a 10 day lead time on the parts.. so shortly after that all you beta testers will receive yours for testing,, I also hired a local firm to do the web site and will be turned on shorty after all the beta testers have had time to test them out..

ps I got something special for all the beta testers that will be in your package! ,I haven't given up yet and hope all of you haven't either..
thank you for your patients and i apologize for the huge delay in this project"skunk"

No worries skunk! At least on my part anyway. Good things come to those who wait, and it's worth the wait for a quality product. Sad to hear the first company was jerkin you around, but glad to hear things are moving forward.

Michigan eh? Where at? I'll see if I can swing by and give em a lil kick in the butt! I haven't given up, I know things happen and manufacturing is never a sure thing. Keep up the good work and hang in there!

P.S. I can't wait for the surprise!!! :-)

An idea that came to mind in looking at that last video you posted...Why not create a hinge point at the top of the tube cone/tip where the bullets drop in to connect it to the loader tray? Then create a clear plastic cover for the loader tray that slides on top of the tray. That way you can then tip the tray slightly at an angle and let gravity fill the bullets into the tube instead of having to slide them into the tube with your finger?

Do you get what I mean?

Hell, come to think of it. My suggestion might allow you to create a shorter tube like let's say a couple inches, just to line up the bullets one in front of the other and let the loader tray tickle the bullets down into the tube then into the mag like a trickle effect. The trick would be to get the mold right so that they trickle into the tube then into the mag right as you hold down the load assist button down and not get jammed between the transition point between the tray and the tube. Hmm

Yeah it's late and i'm bored....

well point taken and the first few design models were designed like that but they were difficult to use, engineer for use,too close to the ultimate loader design, and production cost was way to high, so the keep it simple approach was taken and over 50,000 dollars in engineering and molding cost was eliminated just by using your god give finger and newtons gravity.

I just searched for and saw the video for the ultimate loader and it is exactly the idea I was thinking. Yours seems to work on almost the same principle and I could see it being an issue with patent infringement. The idea is so simple though and looks like it would be easy to apply to pretty much every caliber and mag just as you state you would like to do. So my question is why haven't they made one for the 15-22, and and if not, have they been approached to do so? Obviously there is a market out there and anyone who comes up with an affordable design would make a killing. Not to knock your loader as I might even get one but looks like there is something already out there that with a little modification, could possibly be the best loader for our rifle or any gun for that matter.

good question i also searched for a loader for the 15-22 and found nothing but the the mcfadden for the 1022 at that time and for years he has said he was going to make adapters for other models and it never emerged,,
I cant comment why other than molding costs or his patent is ready to run out and dosen't want the risky investment?
I have a fresh pat pending on my design so im willing to start adapting as soon as i get this first model produced and raise some working capital, i know alot of us have other models like the 10-22, ruger marks and such, all of this started because i needed a simple loader.
