It is a 10 round magazine... obviously shorter than a 20 round GI magazine.

It's NOT """obviously shorter than a 20 rnd GI mag you state 2 times""", as Majorlk pointed out, the S&W 10 rnd mag is 4.5" which is the same as the GI 20 rnd. Maybe you've never seen a 20 rnd GI mag sticking out of an AR. Everything nowadays is 30 rnd. Your research was no good and you're info is wrong.
I already saw your video and it compares a 10 rnd S&W mag to a 30 rnd S&W mag, not a 20 rnd GI mag. I needed the length. Majorlk answered the question, plain and simple with no drama. You didn't. Nobody's asking you to do any work (that is wrong) for anyone except for the length which you didn't provide. Nobody asked you to go out and find a video that doesn't answer the question and post a link and spend your precious time then post a caustic comment.
Your first post was in response to me referring to a mag that was flush with the mag well. Your picture/link wasn't that. Bob Sled has a flush single rnd mag for the mil spec lower using centerfire ammo and CMMG had a flush 22 mag EVO but discontinued it. Someone on this site showed how he cut down a mag to fit flush. Obviously there's a demand for that. NRA Highpower Match rules used to require a flush mag for AR type match rifles. They've changed it in recent years.
Showing a picture of the mag when someone asks 2 times what the length is adds no value. I've seen pictures all over the web and nobody put a length with the pics. S&W even made a medium length 10 rnd mag for a time. I indicated I thought S&W's 10 rnd mag may be the same as a GI 20 rnd mag yet you posted a pic of the mag then asked if I looked at your link. How do you think I thought the 2 were the same length if I didn't already see pics all over the net?
If you get that upset with my comment which wasn't negative at all (even thanked you), just have to wonder what else you get that upset over. Your incorrect posts added no value to this discussion and that upsets you. Maybe if you have nothing positive to add, keep your negative thoughts to yourself. Get a life!!!!!!!!
And to the others that posted positive comments, Thanks!! I appreciate it. Didn't know about the adapter and got the mag length I asked. Majorlk took the time to measure his mags, even put one in and measured the length sticking out and Shawnr5 posted the first link to the adapter. Got what I was looking for.
