hello..just purchased this rifle 3 days ago...as well as a savage 10/22 w/upgraded tasco...went to Ocala FL state forest free range w/1000 rounds of BLAZER 22LR...(the night before we both read the books and went over both rifles)...i took my time loading the mag..didn't pack it to the limit....i patiently waited for the right side end slot..and explained to a few experienced shooters that my son and i are "virgin's" and never owned guns before...the father and son team moved one slot over for us and welcomed us to the fraternity!..we had 1/2 dozen clays layed on the berm 100yrds out....so here i am a 50yo freshman on prom nite waitin to bust my cherry...well right out of the box i aimed and shot one....few inches off the clay!...hey this is cool!...and continued till empty....i was very impressed with the accuracy and ease of operation....my son stepped up and with the help of my neighbor proceeded to sight in the savage...within 30 minutes we both were hitting the clays like we've been shooting for years....i did not have any "failures" when i loaded the mag....but there were 2 when my son loaded the mag as well as my neighbor...i equate this to them not taking the time to correctly seat the shells as well as trying to fill it to the max capacity...i asked that all only load 20 at a time....and let me see the mag before they step up....no issues!.....we had a blast...500 rounds...(total of 3 stovepipes hung up on the mag)....we came home and stripped down each rifle and cleaned them...spotless...all i had was some advance auto store mpl..multy purpose lube..and compressed air....my son did all the work...extremly easy to perform and re assemble...can't wait to go again...i personally think alot of issues with the mag are due to wanting to rip thru a mag like gi joe and not taking the time to stack/load correctly....just my opinion.......thanx for all the info here ...and looking forward to the membership on here...charlie
