M&P 15T question

Not that I am aware of. Is there a reason why you want a monolithic upper? A quality monolithic upper may run you almost as much as the M&P 15 T.

well i want a longer quad rail. the front sight will be on the quad rail so I wanted the strongest ff hand gaurd i can get. I have troys proclaimed strongest drop in ff BattleRail in the world, but I can still move it a little. I want to be able to rely on my sights and have 10" or so quad rail.

Maybe you could go with a dissipator type setup? They have the gas block under the rail system, but then have and additional F marked front sight base in front of the rail. This would allow you to free float the barrel and even if the handguard flexed a little, the sights wouldn't be affected since they are on the barrel.

Don't get too excited yet...I may have just enough info to be dangerous. Not sure if these guys are the only ones that offer this, or if you can do a home build with just any barrel.

I would suggest checking your BattleRail installation, or would a different manufacturer be a less costly solution? Front sight on any quality FF handguard (which Troy is) should be more than reliable enough. What is "move it a little", and does this affect your accuracy?

For a 10" rail and gas block mounted sight, you'll probably need a rifle length gas system barrel. This will give you in excess of the 10" continuous rail and your sight mounted on the gas block or integrated into the gas block.

Not stupid at all. Monolithic uppers are made where the upper and rail system are made out of one piece of aluminum, instead of having to attach a quad rail forend to the upper.
