Does anyone have insight into the availability of this model.
I have looked at numerous gun shops in Arizona where I live and they list it but it is either "out of stock" or 0 available.

I have seen a couple in Gander Mountain and at a LGS, but not plentiful yet. Lots of the old model, will be hard to clear out the 1.0 at the same price!

Have some patience.

At the moment, the Shield is the number one selling handgun in the world (according to industry stats from S&W). They're busy.

The regular M&P is still a very strong seller, and they've just recently released the model 2.0 to the public at Shot. They've got both large model lines to produce in this market.

The first of the 2.0's have been shipping, but even some S&W people have said they haven't been able to get one for themselves, yet. Even some of the S&W LE distributors are having trouble getting the newest guns.

Give them some time to start rolling out their new models, including what's been hinted as being some really nice surprises in their product lines as the year progresses.

We have them. They sell quick, sold two today at $439. There is more demand for the first generation. Have had a few come back and want to trade it in on a first generation. The grip is not very popular.

I like the new grip. I have a 2.0 9mm and love the tackiness. Just like my Shield 45

M&P 45C M2.0? M&P 9C M2.0 ever happen?

I don't see the M&P 45C M2.0 listed on S&W site, anybody know if it's planned? They have the full sized gun as M2.0, but the compact model looks to still be M1.0.

Same question for a M&P 9C M2.0 - should be same size as, and to compete with, the Glock 19? Will S&W ever do this pistol?

Both w/ C.O.R.E. option would be nice.

I really don't get why S&W hasn't done 9mm G19 class 'compact' gun yet, they did it for the .45. The current '9c' is more a sub-compact to me.

M&P is a nicer gun imo but the g19 is perfect size for 9mm (well, except ALL of these guns have needlessly wide & heavy slides.)

Wishful thinking I guess.
