What was your out of box trigger pull weight on the M&P 2? FS or compact, not shields.

I bought the 4" compact today and pre cleaning weight was 5 1/4lbs to 5 1/2lbs. Pretty good. I thought they would be around 6.5. Still gritty but that will smooth out.

Idk what my 2.0 is, but its much better than the 1.0. I would say right around 5lb.

Polish up the trigger bar and the striker block and it will feel nice and smooth.

I believe the trigger pull on my Gen 2.0 is right at 5 lbs. Perfect for me. I had a Gen. 1 and the trigger was nearly the same. A lot of people complain about them, but I think they're both fine

I don't use any tool, but comparing to other handguns I own, my M&P9 had 5 lb, maybe 5 1/2 lb out of the box.

I hate the hinged trigger and went with Apex flat. Now I'm very happy with 4 1/2 lb trigger pull.

All three of the 2.0s I've had were 6-6 1/2 pounds and gritty.
Measured with an RCBS trigger pull gauge.
I put Apex kits in all, now they are much less gritty and 4 1/2 pounds.
Per Apex advice I used the stock trigger return spring instead or theirs and got the pull down a bit lighter.

I really dislike the hinged trigger on the full size guns and the Apex trigger is an improvement.
For some weird reason though, I don't mind the hinged triggers on the Shields.

Most of that "gritty" you feel is just in the slack or take up. I find the actual sear to be quite crisp.

It's the striker block and it smooths out over time. You could get an Apex or polish it. It does not bother me.

I've only measured my 2.0 9mm Subcompact, and it pulls just under 6 lbs. That's after about 500 rounds. Not sure what the "out of the box" pull weight was.

M&P 2 C really is the same size

as a glock 19.

The trigger on my M&P40 2.0 feels less than 5lbs, but I haven't measured it. The trigger weight is not a factor when I shoot 100 yards - so it is light & smooth enough.

Trigger pull

I have a new full-size M&P40 performance center model that averages 4 pounds 14 ounces. Has a long, gritty take-up, but the pull and reset are nice.
