Dose the M&P 22 Compact have a decocker. I want to be able to carry it cocked and locked on a loaded round and fire in single action mode.

No. It's striker fired.

The only striker fired pistols I know with a decocker are the P99/SW99 and the Canik TP9 DA

Thanks for the replies, so dose that mean I can carry it cocked and locked on a loaded chamber and fire in single action mode.

What he said. There is no hammer to decock.

the Magnum Research MR9 also has a decocker. it is a take off of the P99 and has been discontinued. most accurate pistol i own, moreso than the P99, which is no slouch.

Unless I'm missing something. The M&P 22 Compact has a hammer, it is concealed by the enclosed slide. The 22lr M&P's are hammer fired. However there is NO Decocker, just a manual safety. The M&P 22 Compacts are all single action only with NO provision for a double action trigger pull.
