Are there any night sights or Tritium sights available for the .22LR Compact?
i checked with several sight vendors (Truglo, XSsights, Ameriglo) and it seems nobody makes it; perhaps the .22LR has unique front/rear mounting space or something.

I don't see anyone makes improved triggers either like for other handguns. What gives?

They don't have tritium sights, but do have fiber optic. Night sights aren't really in big demand for .22s...

Not sure about triggers... never had any issues with the stock one on mine.

Night sights are usually put on pistols that are used for self defense and most people want something more powerful than a 22 for that. So they probably would not sell a lot of them. I could see some people want the same sights on all their polymer pistols for consistency though.

A better trigger would be nice. But most people looking for a really accurate 22 pistol are going to be looking at larger guns so once again there is probably not a lot of demand.

M&P 22 Compact night sights ...

Thank you much for all your responses.
Yes, my research so far shows only fiber optic sights are available (Williams).
My reason is even in the low lights of an indoor shooting range, the 3-dots can get hard to see for old eyes.

At the range the other day, I realized that my progressive prescription was not helping at all. So I switched over to my computer glasses and saw the sights crystal clear, and the target at 7-10 yards is still clear enough for aiming.

The problem with indoor ranges is that they are too dim to illuminate a fibre optic but too bright to let a tritium lamp's glow stand out.

I have done some work with bringing my own light. A flashlight with magnetic base will cling to the target trolley rail and illuminate the firing line. Mine has too narrow a beam for best results, I will shop for a floodlight.

I installed a Dawson fiber optic front sight on my M&P 22 compact. Nice improvement and works well with the factory rear. I shoot outdoors so I haven't had any problem with getting a glow with the fiber optic even under a covered shooting position.

which Dawson fiber optic front sight?

Did you get the Dawson front sight ($29) or the other "Fixed Carry front&back set" ($69) ?
Did you get just the front sight and left the original 2-dot rear sight?

You might as well replace the rear while you're at it. The rear has a design flaw in the blade retention, and the sight blade tends to fall out while firing. If you haven't had it happen yet, there's a good probability it will.

Thx God... your prediction is false... after 5,000 rounds or so nothing happened to mine. :)

Do you remember which HeightxWidth did you order to make it fit the front slot?
(e.g. .180"Tall x .125"Wide)

I don't remember which one I ordered. I just measured my sight and it measures .302 from the bottom of the dovetail to the top of the sight (.248 to the top of the fiber optic rod). I couldn't measure the dovetailed groove since the sight base fills it. Dawson can probably help you out if you call them.

Taylor Tactical has 15 and 17 round magazine upgrades that work.

I bought a couple of the Taylor Tactical 14-round magazine kits for the M&P Compact .22 LR. Here's a photo showing the original parts (in the bag to the left) next to an original magazine loaded with 10 rounds, and the Taylor Tactical parts (in the bag to the right) along with an enhanced magazine that's loaded with fourteen. Just installed so can't report on function yet, but thought the photos might be of interest to some folks.
