Have one, fun to shoot, reliable, accurate enough for plinking.
Mine doesn't like Automatch, fails to extract and feed sometimes, it does fine with CCI mini mag, Winchester white box bulk, and Win Super-X.

My wife has one. It's fun to shoot and seems to like everything we've fed it. No issues so far = about 800 rounds.

I know I'm sounding redundant but:

It's a blast to shoot to the point I have put all my semi-auto 22lr pistols in the back of the safe except my Buck Mark. It's not picky about ammo and mine cycles standard velocity flawlessly. If you have a suppressor it is a great host. I would buy it again in a heart beat.

Bought a new one a while back and ran 500 rounds of CCI Mini mags through it right out of the box with no cleaning. It was flawless except the suppressor fitting and thread cover loosened up a bit,no other problems though..

I have one and l have stopped shooting my Model 63 it's so much fun. :o I shoot it every week. At least 300 to 325 rounds. Usually with Federal Automatch or CCI AR Tactical. I only had one FTF and that was it the Federal. But it wouldn't fire with my 63 so it was the round. Tomorrow I'm taking 200 M-22's and 135 rounds of Winchester 333's to the range to see how well they work. It's very accurate, and very easy to break down and clean. I think that's one reason I like it so much. Cleaning my 63 always became a project. I guess I'm getting lazy in my old age. ;)

Fantastic little pistol!

Handle one first. If it fits your hand, buy it, you'll like it.
After a couple thousand rounds mine has been flawless and it's as accurate as I can make it. It shoots everything but subsonics with no issues. It so happens it is the most accurate with Rem Golden bullets. Whooooooa, did I say that?? :p
Out of all my 22's it's my favorite to shoot. Small, accurate, reliable, and affordable. You can't ask for much more than that.

My favorite .22

My favorite .22 - I own a Sig 1911-22 and a Ruger 10/22 and the M&P 22C is my favorite of them all. The thing is so lightweight but functions LIKE A BEAST. It has eaten every kind of .22 I've thrown into it. From walmart garbage to nice CCI. Previous posters said Automatch gave them issues but I just ran 200rds of Automatch through it this weekend and it ran 100%. It breaks down in 5 seconds and is very simple and easy to clean. I love that it has a fixed barrel and captured spring guide rod. The grip is FANTASTIC. Fits your hand like a glove. Dare I say as comfortable as a CZ? Well I said it!

When I bought mine they weren't coming with the thread adapters on them so I had to buy it separate from EWK Arms. Bought the adapter, the wrench to remove the old adapter (that proved to be QUITE the chore) and the recoil guide spring centering bushing. I have a deposit down on a Silencerco Warlock and I'm just getting my trust setup now. Hope to have the can on it within the next 6 months.

I cannot recommend this gun enough! Definitely go with it over the standard M&P22. That one is made by Walther in Germany while the compact is made right here in the good 'ol USA by S&W. The compact size also lends itself much better to the platform as a whole. And at 15oz this thing has shootability that lasts for days!

I have a Shield and the first time I handled the 22c I decidded to buy it as it felf very similar to the Shield and I figuted it would be a lot cheeper to shoot (if you can find ammo:o)
It is a great plinker but I don't think it would be good in competition!
